Parks & Recreation
The Town of Summerville offers one of the finest sports facilities in the greater Charleston area. The Jerry Blackwell Sports Complex at Gahagan at 515 W. Boundary Street features six lighted softball/baseball fields, a children's climbing structure playground and ample parking. There is also a lighted combination football/soccer field with a press box and concession stand.

Azalea Park - Located at S. Main Street and S. Magnolia Street. Amenities include tennis courts, bronze sculpture collection, gazebos and walking paths.
Saul Alexander Playground - Located at S. Laurel Street. Amenities include tennis courts, children's playground, picnic shelter & tables.
Huger Playground- Located on West Richardson Avenue. Amenities include a children's playground and picnic tables.
Alston Ball Fields - Located in Highway 78 West. Amenities include baseball fields, restrooms and concession stand.
Doty Park - Located at 320 N. Laurel Street. Amenities include community bldg., covered pavilion, gazebo, horseshoe pits, walking trails and tennis courts.
Shepard Park - Located at the intersection of Parkwood Drive and Simmons Lane. Amenities include a children's playgound, park and pond.
Jerry Blackwell Sports Complex - Located at 515 West Boundary Lane. Amenities include softball/baseball and football fields. Also there is a wooden playground and picnic shelter.
Sawmill Branch Walk/Bike Trail - 6.2 mile trail begins at Gahagan Road and ends 1/2 mile beyond Luden Drive.
Hutchinson Square- Located at South Main Street near Town Hall. Landscaped Town Square that hosts a variety of exhibits throughout the year.
Jessen Boat Landing- Located at 4820 Ladson Road. Amenities include a walking trail overlooking the Ashley River, fishing pier, public boat ramp, docks and picnic shelters.
Gahagan Plantation Community Park - Located at 515 West Boundary Street. Amenities include a children's playground.
Newington Plantation Circle - Located at Newington Plantation- 2 acres of green space.
Cuthbert Community Center / Azalea Hut - Located at 105 W. 5th Street. Community bldg. with kitchen (no stove), 75 chairs, 15 tables, restrooms.
Wassamassaw Community Park -Located at 651 Wassamassaw Rd. Amenities include basketball courts, covered pavilion with restrooms, separate large and small dog parks, playground and walking trails.
